HISTORY


The AUTISM group was formed in 2004 by Sasha Begliy (intention, vocal) and Yaroslav Rogers (guitar). Two other original members were Ruslan Dvornitskiy (drums) and Andrey Roy (bass). Earlier the band members had been taken part in some other projects.


After the performance on the Terroraiser Festival bassist and drummer had left the band due to ideological disagreements, and Yaroslav Rogers and Sasha Begliy started recording the available material. This has lead to creation of an album called Life is Wonderful containing compositions written during the period of 1997-2004.


Together with Igor Senik, the bassist who joined the band in 2005, Yaroslav Rogers and Sasha Begliy had conducted a presentation of the self-released album and started to work on their new material. As a result of studio work, the album called Eternity and Beyond was recorded in 2007.


Currently the band is working on the new material and prepares for presentation of the Eternity and Beyond album released by an underground label called Nocturnus Records in 2008.


MUSIC STYLE


The style of the band’s music is represented by the quintessence of various trends of rock music together with smooth fusion of various symphonic and electronic genres. The music harmonically combines heavy riffs and refined melodies, embraces harshness, drive, emotion, as well as smoothness and depth.


CONCEPTION


One of the most important part’s of the band’s creation is the lyrical intention, which forms the basis of every composition. Contraposition of spiritual personality towards faceless social environment, constant internal struggle, non-acceptance and rejection of everything low and sinful, of false human truths and beliefs – this is what the AUTISM’s songs are about. Immensely refined lyrics, strong heartfelt images, pithiness and directness of poetry allow the listener to fully experience every brink, every tincture of feeling imbued in a composition.


The persona of the band’s songs is a human been who can not find himself in this world. The feeling of his own detachment and alienation in the hostile realm of sin and voracity keeps him restless. It makes him feel incomprehensible and elusive, and sometimes even sharp and all-embracing sadness; it guides him to subconscious (or conscious) desire for self-destruction and social degradation in the vacuum of spiritually fallen human society. Only if he shall pass through all the carnal pain keeping his spirit pure, if he shall stay faithful to all Divine virtues till the end, then he shall be able to save himself and step on the road leading to Eternity… and for now what he can do is just walk his path and behold...
